258 Plantation Employees of STA Batang Pane III Vaccinated
Companies operating in plantation sector in North Sumatera associated in GAPKI, working together with the District and Province level of North Sumatera’s Public Health Office performed a mass vaccination program simultaneously conducted in all regions of North Sumatera. The event was opened virtually by the Governor of North Sumatera, Edy Rahmayadi.
One member is PT Sumber Tani Agung Batang Pane III Estate, sub-district of East Halongonan, District of North Padang Lawas, which successfully coordinated the mass vaccination on 258 employees of STA Batang Pane III Estate, Wednesday (4/8) yesterday.
The vaccination event was successfully conducted due to the cooperation between the company, PT STA Batang Pane III and the Public Health Office of the District of North Padang Lawas to enhance the employees’ immunity against the virus attack.
The execution of the mass vaccination was attended in person by the Head of Public Health Office of the North Padang Lawas district, dr Sri Prihatin, accompanied by the Head of Health Unit of Paluta dr Afrida and other staff of the public health office. The vaccination was carried out by two teams of certified vaccinators from the public health center.
Estate Manager PT STA Batang Pane III Risman Jamaris in his opening speech thanked the Public Health Office of North Padang Lawas for the copperation in the execution of the mass vaccination programon PT STA’s employees.
“Health is our greates treasure, thus all employees need to be healthy. With the guaranteed health of the employees, production shall increase and the employees’ welfare shall to. Prevention is better than cure,” he added.
In line with the remark, the Public Relation Officer of PT STA Biano TAmba S. Fil added that the COVID-19 Virus was unavoidable, all we could do was taking care of our health, keeping distance, and enhancing our body’s immunity.
“The vaccination is not to ward off COVID-19, but to make our body immuneagainst the disease. That impact will be lighter than on those who are not vaccinated.
The mass vaccination went smoothly, and was well-organized and well-coordinated while complying with health protocols. The event was also attended by the police officers from Padang Bolak Police Station, and Babinsa from Koramil 05 Gunung Tua.
